Phil Lee is a producer/shooter/editor who's award winning editorial work has been seen on ABC, CBS, MTV and the Golf Channel. After graduating from the University of North Texas in 1988 with a degree in TV & Film, Phil worked as an on-line editor for 9 years- way back in the "old days" when projects were still cut on Digital Betacam tape. However, the facility soon took delivery of a very early Avid- and it was easy to see that computer based editing was the way of the future. The new non-linear technology eventually allowed him to venture out on his own and in 1997, Lee Editorial was born. In more recent news, our half-hour children's sports television series "Kidz in Motion," distributed by DreamWorks, is currently airing in 15 countries world wide including Belgium, Italy, Germany, Czech Republic and the Middle East.

Case Study: Broadcast Television

Lee Editorial is the creative force behind "Kidz in Motion," a half hour international children's sports television series. Currently airing in 15 countries world wide, this action packed series is distributed by DreamWorks. We created the series and handle all aspects from production to post. Nineteen episodes are currently airing with seven additional episodes in production.

Case Study: Digital Marketing

Creative Nightscapes, a residential landscape lighting design company, selected us to provide a series of videos to help promote their expertise and capabilities via their website and digital marketing campaign. We utilized installation footage along with interviews to create the promos.

TasteBuds Kitchen reached out to us to create a series of videos to help promote their facility and services. Because they have programs designed for 3 groups: adults, children and the corporate market, we produced a separate promo targeted for each. The promos featured interviews with employees and current customers, along with footage from actual events. The videos will be utilized on social media an featured on the TasteBuds website.

Case Study: Branding

Satterwhite Media enlisted Lee Editorial to assist with the creation of a music and graphics based project. The purpose of the clip was to help establish a corporate ID and branding theme for TriGlobal Energy. Utilizing stock footage and clean graphics, we provided a simple solution that communicates capabilities and name recognition. Producer: Bill Satterwhite

Case Study: Charity Event

Honey Dental participated in a nation wide charity event by donating their dental services for a day and selected us to create a promo to document the event. They wanted a promo that detailed the day, but also hoped to capture some emotion and passion that might inspire participation of volunteers and sponsorship for next years event.

CQ Digital Media worked with Lee Editorial to produce a short marketing video for website usage. The segment was designed to introduce a realty company, and to briefly showcase their philosophy and capabilities. Producer: Chris Quinn

Case Study: Exhibit Promo

Sea Life recently launched a new aquarium attraction, and wanted to generate some attention for the opening of their Coral Exhibit. We shot interviews with employees and combined them with tank footage along with a little stock video. (in order to feature coral and sea creatures in the wild)

LEE EDITORIAL NOISE

Al Jazzera recently licensed broadcasting rights for Kidz in Motion on their children's content network, JeemTV. Translated into Arabic, our action series is now being enjoyed by kids in several countries in the Middle East.

Belgium joins a long list of countries across the world now broadcasting Kidz in Motion, including Germany, Italy, Czech Republic, Malaysia, and many more. Ketnet, the Belgium children's network, added a fun in-studio host to intro and outro each segment for "Kicks met Sien" using props and sound effects.

After spending 6 years shooting footage at the International Exotic Feline Sanctuary in Boyd Texas. Lee Editorial produced a half-hour documentary, "Capitivy with Dignity." The resulting doc was screened and enthusiastically received at the Blue Planet Film Festival in Santa Monica, CA.

DNA Productions selected Lee Editorial to create all post elements for Weird Al Yankovic's "Fatman" cartoons. Phil provided off-line and on-line editing for the cartoons that aired on the CBS Saturday morning children's TV series, "The Weird Al Show."

Lee Editorial provided animatic editing services for the DNA and O Entertainment produced 3D Christmas special: "Santa vs the Snowman." The half hour animated special premiered on ABC, and has enjoyed annual holiday success at IMAX theaters around the world during the holidays. DNA achieved additional acclaim as the creative team behind Nickelodeon's Jimmy Neutron TV and feature film franchise.
